Following the fatal airplane crash at Cork airport, the Isle of Man infrastructure minister, Phil Gawne has backed Manx2 and its operations. The way the company was ran was under scrutiny yesterday in the Douglas Government building, and the fact that Manx2 really operate as an airline ticket agent which charters planes. It was suggested that the ethos between the 2 parts to the business were not the same and therefore could lead to problems. However the Minister pointed to the fact that Manx2 adhere to strict aviation regulations and backed the running of the business.
