2011 a busier year for Dublin Airport?

Just before the financial prosperity of the Celtic Tiger turned to recession, Dublin Airport reached a high of 23.5 million passengers using the airport in 2008. Last year, the economic climate coupled with two big freezes and the volcanic ash crisis saw that number drop to just 18 million. At the Holiday World Show in Dublin at the weekend, a spokesman said that 2011 is expected to see a small increase in the number of charter holidays. Moreover, with more bargain holidays being available than ever before, 2011 could be the year when the travel market starts to get back on its feet.
