The smart choice for airport parking

T2 ready for November

17 October 2010 | Dublin
Terminal 2
T2 opens in November
Dublin Airport's new Terminal 2 is ready for opening in November. Trials at T2 have been underway with the public asked to register to visit the new terminal during October to ensure readiness.

Built at a cost of €600m, the terminal will serve Aer Lingus and all long-haul traffic, although low-cost operator Ryanair will remain at Terminal 1. Given the recent pronouncement that Heathrow is effectively "full", despite the recent addition of T5, Dublin stands a good chance of becoming a major hub, especially since T2 is the first airport to allow passengers to clear US immigration and customs before departing on a flight.

In a further boost, the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) confirmed in June that 500 new jobs would be created when T2 opens in mid-November.

More information on T2 can be found at a new dedicated website: http://www.dublinairportt2.com/
