The latest figures from the Irish Aviation Authority has shown that air traffic through Ireland's 3 main airports continue to decrease. However the rate of decrease has slow down significantly with the exception of Shannon. In September traffic through Dublin decreased by 2%. For the year thus far however the overall decrease is by 10%. This does not bode well for the short term future of the new terminal. Traffic for last month for the airports Cork and Shannon are down 9% and 29% respectively.
