Airport security screening
People travelliing to the United States from Dublin and Shannon will now pass security clearance before they leave. These two ariports will be the first to do this in Europe. What it means, is that when people arrive at their destinatiion they will leave the flight like it was an internal flight in the U.S. It is of course a benefit to the border patrol and customs teams in the U.S as people will not have to be deported back to their country of origin or elsewhere if they are refused entry. This new system has helped the DAA land a large American airline agreement for Terminal 2, with other airlines interested in it also.
