Increased baggage charges
Budget airline Ryanair is increasing its charges for hold baggage for the summer months in 2010.
Coming on the back of suggestions for a range of controversial charges such as fees to use toilets and a so-called 'fat tax' for passengers that require larger seats, the low-cost carrier will add an extra £5/€5 per item of checked-in luggage in July and August 2010.
The airline is one of the few in the industry to be weathering the economic storm well, predicting a full-year profit in excess of that announced only recently.
